Flipperwick is a dream. It’s a goal. It’s a way of life.

Actually, it’s gibberish.  Crap.  Bullshit.  Well, maybe not crap.  Definitely bullshit.

A few people have asked me where the name of this site came from.  It came from You Don’t Know Jack, a computer trivia game from…the 90’s? Maybe the early 2000’s. I forget.  I think the 90’s.  In any case, they had gibberish questions, and they’d introduce them as “Flickerpick Nostrum…it’s a gibberish question.” Anyway…Flipperwick came from a bastardization of those.

Now, as for the point of this place.  That’s a little more complicated.  I get bored. A lot.  I tend to jump around from projects.  By habit I consider myself a writer.  But I guess technically I could qualify as a musician too (a pesky B.A. is lingering around somewhere).  And… I like to draw. So, yeah.  I’m all kinds of scattered.

I’ve tried to write a blog many times in the past, and now I’ve finally started this…which gives me a bit more focus, and a little less reason to only rant.  So I’ll end this brief summary by saying: I want to get better at art.  Maybe someday I’ll even achieve Art, with the noticeable capital ‘a.’  A year of forcing myself to do something every day?  Well…that seems like a worthwhile goal.  Think I can accomplish it?

Really?  I’m not so sure!
